Hi! I'm Liron

I’m Liron Lavi Turkenich, a multi-passionate typeface designer and design entrepreneur based in Israel. Since graduating from the MA in Typeface Design at the University of Reading (UK), I’ve been designing custom multilingual typefaces and consulting for global companies specializing in Hebrew.

I’m also the founder of Aravrit, a hybrid writing system that merges Hebrew and Arabic, and it has received wide recognition for its ingenuity and scope (TedX Vienna, SXSW, London Design Museum and more). I have several years of organizing, producing, and curating ATypI, an international typeface conference. I am also co-running the Mentorship program on the international Alphabettes network.

Additionally, I teach designers how to spread their work in workshops and consultations. I write on productivity, public speaking, and running multiple projects on Visual Productivity. Among my recent ventures was an illustrated Haggadah book for families which received great reviews.

I love sharing my experience in talks and workshops, while not neglecting to search the finest coffee and typographic treasures in dusty archives.
